A Journey of Generosity Retreat is a safe place where you can discuss, share and experience the joy of the generous life with your friends, family, or peers. Generous Giving called these retreats Journey of Generosity (JOG) because we are all on our own journeys and it is invaluable to come together to encourage each other along the way.
These are small gatherings hosted by someone who wants to encourage a conversation about generosity amongst friends and is guided by a Generous Giving Facilitator. Together, they explore the life-changing message of generosity and the power it has to bring joy, freedom, and purpose.
This experience is designed to focus on your heart and not your money. You are never solicited for anything and they are free to attend. Every person's journey is unique. The small gatherings are exceptionally meaningful experiences for those who participate. JOGs are held for small groups of men, women, or couples. Every JOG is slightly different because it is a one-time event hosted by a friend.
Typically a JOG is an overnight retreat held at a hotel. In Albuquerque, they are hosted more frequently in the comfort of a home. Facilitators and materials are provided by Generous Giving. We are blessed to have several local JOG facilitators in Albuquerque. If held in a home they typically take 3 hours on the first evening, then regroup the next morning for 4 hours.
The National Christian Foundation and Generous Giving have worked together many years spreading the biblical message of generosity. People in our city began sponsoring JOGs in 2007 and the experience is so profound that they continue to do so.
We've found that the way God shapes our hearts during these events changes the way we live in ways that bring more joy and abundance to our lives day in and day out.
